3D printing in the school

  • In this year, our school takes part in “3DUTECH. Shape the future. Print 3D.” program launched by ECDL Romania. In this way, in the school will be a 3D modelling and printing hub, where the teachers and 20 students will have the opportunity to gain international qualification by passing the ECDL 3D printing exam.

Within the framework of the project, a Zortax M200 3D printer will work in the school’s ECDL center, nr. 254.

We are between the 10 successful schools, such as:

  • Colegiul Tehnic de Aeronautică Henri Coandă, Bucharest;

  • Colegiul Național A.T.Laurian, Botoșani;

  • Liceul de Informatică Tiberiu Popoviciu, Cluj Napoca;

  • Colegiul Național Preparandia - Dimitrie Tichindeal, Arad;

  • Colegiul Național Ioan Slavici, Satu Mare;

  • Colegiul Național Mihai Eminescu, Constanta;

  • Colegiul Național Ion C. Brătianu, Pitești;

  • Colegiul Național ‘Unirea’, Brasov.

  • Colegiul Național ‘Mihai Eminescu’, Oradea

  • Colegiul Național ‘Constantin Diaconovici Loga’, Timisoara

The project is supported by ECDL Romania, Asociaţia Oamenilor de Afaceri din România The project’s aim is involve experts in 3D printing, because 3D printing can’t be avoided in many branches of industry: architecture, medicine, electrical engineering, food and advertising industry.

Last year, the Robocorp members had the opportunity to use a Robofun 3D printer during the FTC competition. Furthermore they have passed more ECDL exams and they deserve recognition for their last year’s results. For all these reasons, team members can be the first to take part in training and take a free test of 3D printing.

This new opportunity also proves that work produces results and this creates new ways of success for us.
